Physical fitness means getting in shape and staying that way. What point is there to work your butt off to get fit if you dont plan to stay that way. Yes i do believe it is a sin to be physically unfit/overweight because God has ordered us in his word to take care of the temple of our body. Being physically unfit because of laziness is not honouring God's creation. However, I do not believe that if there is an excpetion such as injury or chronic illness it is a sin to be overweight because it is no longer in your power to control that.

Physical fitness means being able to live a normal life and do fun physical activities without feeling overly exhausted. Is it a sin to be un-fit? If you're not caring for your body to the best of your ability then, yes....BUT it is also a sin to give your physical condition more importance than it has. Our relationship with God, serving people, and our responsibilities to others should be way more important than getting to the gym. Also, if you're not fit, but you're trying your best to take good care of your body, than I don't think you're sinning. I think it's important to remember that our bodies are not temples because we take care of them, but because they were made by God, and the Holy Spirit lives in us. And no matter whether we're fit or not, He sees us as righteous.

Physical fitness means being healthy and taking care of your body. I believe that we need to have a balanced life to meet all of our needs, and exercise/ physical fitness is a key part of that. When we are physically fit it allows us to focus on what God wants of us and allows us to be able to follow His Call. It is very important that we take care of ourselves because we are not just living for ourselves. 1 Cor 3:16, 17 says "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple." We need to take care of our bodies not just because it's right but because God is living in us!
